- Aug 30, 2019 -

Brussels sprouts are very nutritious. They contain, for example, vitamins, dietary fiber, trace elements and anti-cancer elements (e.g. I3C). You can also supplement I3C by taking indole 3 carbinol powder. In order to get the benefits from Brussels sprouts, we have to cook them. You can cook Brussels sprouts in many different ways. We listed some of them below.

Roasted

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Combine olive oil, garlic, Brussels sprouts, salt, pepper, and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl.

Spread everything on an ungreased baking sheet.

Roast for 15-17 minutes, then serve.

Steamed

Fit a large pot with a steamer insert. Fill the pot with enough water to touch the bottom of the insert.

Cover the pot and bring the water to a boil.

Add the Brussels sprouts and steam for 6 to 8 minutes.

Place the sprouts in a bowl to season with salt, pepper, butter and lemon juice.
