- Jul 16, 2019 -

Serotonin is a happy-producing compound in our body. A low level of serotonin will cause a lot of problems. They are, for example, depression, anxiety, fatigue, etc. Therefore, it is very important to maintain healthy serotonin levels. If your serotonin level is low and you want to increase it. The most direct way is to use 5-HTP supplements such as 5 HTP powder. 5 HTP is the precursor of serotonin and a compound produced from an amino acid called tryptophan.

For those who don’t like supplements, they can also achieve the goal by eating.

1. Tryptophan can transform to serotonin. Therefore, the simple method is to eat more foods with high levels of amino acids (especially tryptophan). Usually, foods with higher protein content contain a lot of tryptophan, such as soybeans, eggs and chicken.

2. Carbohydrates can also help increase serotonin levels in the body. Foods high in carbohydrates such as eggs, bananas and walnuts can increase serotonin levels.

3. Banana skin nutrition supplement, banana skin contains more serotonin than banana itself and some other carbohydrates, which can play a better role in supplementing serotonin.

4. Eat healthy fat. Omega-3 fatty acids are thought to affect the function of serotonin in the brain. Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids are: fish, such as salmon, fish oil, nuts, seeds, and oils derived from seeds, such as linseed oil.

5. Eating dark chocolate also increases serotonin. Resveratrol in chocolate increases endorphins and serotonin.

If your condition is not particularly serious, we recommend that you try the above foods first instead of using 5 HTP powder directly.
